On Friday, our last day in Cuernavaca, we went to the market and said “Good-Bye” to Pastor Felix and his family at the downtown market. We had preached there every Wednesday and Sunday service so we have gotten pretty close with his whole family. They have 3 daughters and 1 son , all around our age. Then we did our last program that evening at a apartment complex for the kids in the park. Our whole team had a fun time playing with the children.
We made it back to Monterrey on Saturday evening. It was so strange to see all the old familiar places, the roads the base, and our room. It slightly felt like we were dreaming, but it felt very nice to be back “home”. It went by so fast, but so slow at the same time. It’s quite a strange feeling
to experience. We celebrated Kelly’s 21st birthday during our drive home from Cuernavaca. Mexico has many beautiful mountains so it was a treat for her to relax and enjoy all the beauty around her. The next day we went out for lunch and ice cream to celebrate her birthday. We start the last week of class on Tuesday. We will be having a good-bye party for all the staff and students on Friday. It’s going to be strange not having a routine to follow and not have our classmates around us.
