Wow! What an amazing weekend we had!
For those that were not able to attend River Valley Church this weekend, our video testimony was shown in the sermon called "Amazing Grace". As the first service started, we felt vulnerable knowing that each person walking in the door was about to hear about our dark past, but all we could do was pray against judgements and for softened hearts. We couldn't believe the response we got, and to actually see how much of an impact we had on peoples lives through our story was incrediable. We saw lots of smiles, and heard lots of "thanks for sharing", and even saw some tears. It was such a blessing for us to have a table set up for us to hand out our prayer cards and get a chance to connect with people that were interested in supporting our ministry.
At one point I thought, "Are we really doing this? Is all of this really happening?"
Overall it was a success, and we wanted to thank Pastor Rob for such an awesome message on the undeserving grace that God gives us. Also, thank you for everyone that we meet this weekend. Thank you for encouraging us as we embark on this roller coaster ride and we look forward to possibly getting in contact with you in the future. We appreciate every single one of you, and your encouragement means more than you will ever know.

Pressing Toward The Goal
Philippians 3:12 Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.
After the past couple of weeks, we definitely feel like this verse sums it up fairly well. As our calendars fill up with tasks, deadlines, and commitments, we are overwhelmed with excitement that we are really living out the calling that God placed on out hearts. Although we sometimes find ourselves lost throughout the process, we keep pressing toward the goal.
We have sent in our prayer cards to be printed on Monday, which will turn our very cool thanks to our friend Jami Shull who designed them. We will be handing them out after service the end of April when our video testimony is shown. Which is all such a blessing for us with the timing. God is all about timing. We have been busy building up relationships and working out all the details in preparing our mission.
Now, we are working on trying to manage our time wisely. Cutting out all the extras that don't pertain to our goal. This is extremely hard because we are both type A people. We both want to do everything for everyone and are always willing to take on the next task even if we are juggling 5 others. Also we are in need of setting a routine "date" night because we know that the enemy will strike our relationship first. So for now, we are on the defense.

Cuerna What?
Ron and Sandra are back in the states! For those of you who haven't had the privilege of meeting them, they are missionaries in Mexico from River Valley Church. When we go down to do our DTS we will be staying with them. They are absolutely amazing people with great hearts. About 3 years ago they were given a vision to start a base in Cuernavaca, Mexico. After a lot of praying and many confirmations they sold there house, left their careers, and brought there three children down to Monterrey, Mexico to do DTS and have been on staff there since. Recently their plans to start the base were approved by YWAM. Their next step is to find a team to help fulfill that dream.
Last night Ron and Sandra had invited people over that had some interest in being a part of Cuernavaca. Total there were 14 of us. It was really cool to see how God can bring people from all areas in life and unite them. We have been praying intensely about what our plans are after DTS, and we feel that we will be definitely doing missions long term after our DTS. After hearing the vision of this base it really swept us away and captured our hearts. They really want to make family, music and worship a big part of it, and God is really confirming that it is the place for us.

Awesome Weekend!
This was a weekend of great awakening.
Friday evening we attended the Beyond leader's retreat (young adults group). We were privileged to have Jeff Grennel as our speaker. At first we both came into it with bad attitudes and we completely convicted right away. We learned that our bitterness towards people or situations will only trip us and trusting that God knows all helped us through. We were able to dive into what our sole purpose is in life and to completely dwell in that. As an assignment we first prayed and asked God to confirm his gift that he has given us. Then we incorporated that into your life's mission statement.
Levi's mission statement: To bring hope to the hopeless and accept the unaccepted through my life story.
Kelly's mission statement: To be passionate about everything I love; family, worship, and being a complete servant of God to reach the lost.
It really prepared us for our journey ahead because we vowed to each other that whatever we do from now on, it will have to do with our mission. Cutting out all extras and focusing on where we are going. Aligning ourselves with God.
